Ego not only disturbs your highs but also unsettles your low. Sometimes it makes you feel as mighty as a ruler, and sometimes so low as a misfortune. Yes it makes you experience both. But is ego as bad as we perceive it? I feel every experience needs a distinct ego. It is in the ego where lies the desires. And it’s the desire for anything fuelling our thoughts and actions. It’s not at all a bad thing if you could be able to feel both king and ill-fated at will. How cool does it sound? And that’s consciousness for you where you know how to maneuver your ego wisely at different places. So yes, never criticize your ego which makes you feel the depth of any character. But the only problem is your tag, your identity, your label by the outside world to you, that forces you to self-judge. And you cannot live a fulfilling life. The sad end? Carrying those heavy possessions never allows you to unleash your weird originality. What to do? Surrender to the one who is supreme, the one whom you can never become, ‘the one whom you strive to be’. The one who is always your idol, your guideline, the whom you cannot compete against, the one you can’t win or lose against, the one who is the ideal condition. The one is your higher self to whom you must totally surrender. So can we say ‘surrender to your conscious ego’? I don’t know…
